📶 Wi-Fi is weak in one room ▾
Move the router to a more central, open location, away from walls and metal objects. If the room is far from the router, a mesh extender is usually the fix and is often cheaper than rewiring.
🔌 Internet keeps cutting out ▾
Unplug the modem and router for 30 seconds, then plug them back in. This clears most temporary connection issues. If it keeps happening at the same time every day, it could be your provider doing maintenance - worth a quick call to confirm.
📵 A device won't connect to Wi-Fi ▾
On the device, forget the network and reconnect, double-checking the password. Restarting the device often helps too. If it's a smart-home device, make sure it's compatible with your router's Wi-Fi band (2.4GHz vs 5GHz).
🌐 Internet works on phone but not on computer ▾
This usually means the problem is with that specific device, not the whole network. Check the computer's Wi-Fi adapter settings, update the network driver, or try a wired Ethernet connection to confirm the network itself is fine.
👪 Too many devices on Wi-Fi, everything feels slow ▾
Disconnect devices that aren't actively in use, especially ones doing large downloads or video streaming. If you regularly have 10+ devices connected, ask your provider about a speed upgrade or consider a mesh system built for higher device counts.
