1 Check the Power First

2 Force a Full Power Cycle

Hold the power button for 10–15 seconds until the laptop shuts down completely. Wait 30 seconds. Then press the power button again. This clears stuck processes that prevent a normal startup and works surprisingly often.

3 Remove External Devices

USB drives, SD cards, external hard drives, and even mice can sometimes interrupt the boot process. Unplug everything, then try powering on with only the charger connected. Windows may be trying to boot from an external device instead of the internal drive.

4 Drain Static Power (Battery Reset)

If your laptop has a removable battery:

• Unplug the charger.
• Remove the battery.
• Hold the power button for 30 seconds (with no battery and no charger).
• Reinsert the battery, plug in the charger, and try again.

5 Check the Screen — It Might Be On

• Try connecting an external monitor via HDMI — if the image appears there, the screen itself needs repair.

6 Listen for Beep Codes

7 Let It Cool Down
